Way out of town, in the tall pine tree forests, there’s a mystery shack off-grid. It’s churning out experimental artwork and playing country music nonstop. Folklore says the person who lives there can create something from nothing, and they were right. This is the place you’ll find artist Matt Brooks crafting rad graphics under the name Out-Here.
With a disruptive style and graphic-led approach, Matt takes cues from alt-living, outdoor adventure, and the spirit of subculture, all with a gorp attitude.
“I started Out-Here as a way to go beyond the artwork; it’s an opportunity to create escapism anytime, anywhere. To build a business immersed in surf, skate, snow, and hike culture gives me the chance to connect with like-minded people ready for their next big adventure.”

More about The master craftsman
You’ll find Matt slap bang in the middle of a Venn diagram between Bob Ross, Paul Bunyan, and Yogi Bear. He spends most of his time in the woods, wearing flannel shirts, and drawing pictures of epic wild spaces.
Besides illustration, making rad merch, and business as usual, you’ll find him lost in the Twin Peaks theme tune, thinking up plans for cabins he can’t afford, watching reruns of American Pickers, and looking for rare Japanese Suzuki Jimny vans. He’s a rad Dad, a porridge fanatic, and an all-around straight-shootin’ kind of guy. Also, former creative lead at Passenger.
