After 15 years of working in the creative industry for fancy studios and big brands, Matt set up Out Here to focus on the good stuff. A studio that makes epic work, turning clients into good friends, and leaving plenty of time for adventure.

Matt Brooks
Creative Director
Matt is a dreamer. A designer who has worked for some of the world’s most loved brands. You could describe him as slap bang in the middle of a Venn diagram between Bob Ross, Marty McFly, and Fox Mulder. Spending most of his time drawing outdoor scenes, with a skateboard in hand, and always on the trail of the weird and wonderful.
Besides illustration, making rad merch, and keeping this ship afloat, you’ll find him lost in the Twin Peaks theme tune, thinking up plans for cabins he can’t afford, and watching reruns of American Pickers. He’s a rad Dad, a hoarder of 90s toys, and a sucker for nostalgia.

Frances Brooks
Art Director
Frances is a Swiss Army knife, equipped with the ability to solve any problem. An experienced art director who has worked on client projects for Nike, Samsung, and Google, her 15+ yrs experience keeps this train on the track. With a perfect eye for detail and the planning ability of a NASA scientist, she ensures every project delivers on time and on budget.
As well as holding down the fort at Out-Here, Frances is a travel fanatic and adventure head, she’s constantly plotting a new road trip and building epic playlists to go with them. Pearl Jam and Powderfinger, Foo Fighters and Feeder, if it’s got guitar and sounds like the 90s, she’s into it.
