A creative illustration studio

Made for adventure

Out Here Studio

Out-Here is a one-person illustration studio run by artist Matt Brooks, a creative specialist illustrating for the mavericks, rebels, and underdogs since 2009.

After 15 years of working in the creative industry for fancy studios and big brands, Matt set up a small illustration studio that breaks all the rules, turning clients into good friends and delivering work on time with no fuss.

Just like a mad scientist’s laboratory, the studio runs on a specific workflow: Powered by cold pizza, large cherry slurpees, staying up late listening to Death Cab, playing Castlevania, waving pennant flags, and reading vintage comics, these are the main ingredients to his success. (A jar of red vines often accompanies this, if the studio is slammed.)

Matt Brooks (Artist)

Who is Matt? Well, you’ll find him slap bang in the middle of a Venn diagram between Bob Ross, Marty McFly, and Fox Mulder. He spends most of his time drawing pictures of wild spaces, with a skateboard in hand, and is drawn to the weird and wonderful.

Besides illustration, making rad merch, and keeping this ship afloat, you’ll find him lost in the Twin Peaks theme tune, thinking up plans for cabins he can’t afford, and watching reruns of American Pickers. He’s a rad Dad, a hoarder of 90s toys, and a sucker for nostalgia.
